DDoS: figures first semester 2018<\/h1>\n

After the publication of our DDoS report for 2017, we are already working on this year’s findings. In a new report to be published this summer, we will analyze our findings over the first half of 2018. Here’s a sneak preview.<\/p>\n

Number of DDoS attacks<\/h3>\n

In 2017, we coped with a total of 827 DDoS attacks. In the first six months of 2018, there were already 555.<\/p>\n

Duration of DDoS attacks<\/h3>\n

In 2017, the majority of attacks lasted no longer than an hour (more than 78 percent). This is also the case in this six-month period: more than 81 percent of DDoS attacks (453 out of 555) were completed within an hour.<\/p>\n

Size of DDoS attacks<\/h3>\n

More than 87 percent of the attacks were no greater than 10 Gbps in the first semester of 2018. In 2017 this percentage was almost the same: more than 88 percent.<\/p>\n
