At the same time, we are seeing the duration of DDoS attacks increase. The increasing duration, complexity and scope of DDoS attacks fit into a trend that has been going on for several years. In 2018 and 2019, we recorded 938 and 919 attacks respectively. In 2020, there were no less than 1610. This represents a significant increase in the number of attacks in one year.<\/p>\n<p>This trend is continuing this year as well. In the first quarter of 2021, we had already recorded more attacks than half of those in 2020, with the most powerful attack reaching 300 Gbps. In the second quarter of 2021, we saw a slight decrease in the number of attacks, with the most powerful attack reaching 164 Gbps.<\/p>\n<p>In Q3, we saw an increase in the number of attacks lasting longer than 4 hours. In July and August of this year, there were very targeted attacks whereby as a result new NaWas participants were connected as a matter of urgency.
