The DDoS mitigation service NaWas protects participants in the digital infrastructure against DDoS attacks and provides insight into changing trends in the field of DDoS.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, NaWas detected a total of 1918 DDoS attacks. Measured in terms of the number of bits, the largest attack amounted to over 134.13 Gbps. In terms packets per second, the largest attack was 91.72 Mpps.
Application Layer (L7) DNS and HTTP request flood events were the most common attack vectors and were observed in 72% of all attacks in the fourth quarter of 2025. However, measured in terms of size and volume, DNS Amplification remains one of the most impactful attack vectors. In addition, NaWas observed a very large HTTPS Quick Flood attack (size: 91 Mpps). This attack lasted a total of 56 minutes.
