Bunnik, 10 February 2026 – NBIP welcomes Jeroen Stevens (Interconnect Services) and Ruben van der Zwan (Worldstream) as new members of the board. Jeroen Stevens will serve as secretary and Ruben van der Zwan has been appointed as a general board member. With these appointments, the board now consists of six members.
Years of experience in the sector
Jeroen Stevens is co-founder and CTO of Interconnect Services. He brings years of technical and entrepreneurial experience to the table and will contribute to the further
development of the foundation as a board member. Stevens is committed to issues relating to digital resilience, continuity, and innovation within the sector. In his role as secretary, he closely follows current developments in the industry and contributes ideas on how NBIP can respond proactively to these developments.
“I am delighted with my appointment to the board of the NBIP Foundation. After years of experience in setting up and developing technical services and infrastructure, I want to use my knowledge and expertise to contribute to the foundation’s direction and effectiveness. NBIP is closely attuned to current developments in the sector, which is particularly relevant at this moment in time: due to geopolitical developments, issues such as digital resilience, continuity and cooperation are higher on the agenda than ever before,” says Stevens.
A safer and better functioning internet
Ruben van der Zwan, who joins the board as a general board member, also brings decades of experience in the internet sector. He has been active in the sector as an entrepreneur since 2005 and has held several management roles, including CTO at Argeweb. Argeweb gave rise to Amsio: a specialist in cloud, IaaS, managed services and application migrations. Amsio was acquired by the Sentia Group in 2017, after which Van der Zwan gained international experience as infrastructure director and later as Group CTO. Following the acquisition by Accenture, he worked there as managing director. Since June 2024, he has been CEO of Worldstream and Greenhouse Datacenters.
“Nowadays, the internet is the basis for virtually all digital services. From my many years of experience in the cloud sector, I have learned how much is involved in this. NBIP plays a key role in this: not only by representing interests, but above all by actively contributing to a safer and better functioning internet. I look forward to putting my experience to good use as a board member,” says Van der Zwan.
Ludo Baauw, chairman of the NBIP board, is delighted with the arrival of the two new board members: “NBIP is growing rapidly and bears a great deal of responsibility for, among other things, protecting our national digital infrastructure. The expansion of the board will allow us to distribute the work even more effectively. The knowledge and years of experience that Jeroen and Ruben bring with them are sorely needed. Their expertise will further help us, the NBIP team and the participants in the next phase of NBIP.”
