At the National Management Organisation for Internet Providers (NBIP), we work together with our participants to realise a safer internet. As a centre of expertise for DDoS Mitigation, Lawful Interception and Threat Intelligence Analysis, we provide support services to internet, hosting and cloud providers in the Netherlands and Europe. What will you be doing?

  • In the role of DevSecOps engineer, you will work with colleagues to ensure the availability and continuity of a set of applications and data collections of NBIP.
  • You are involved in the creation, management and modification of applications in response to errors detected or changing technical or functional requirements.
  • You are responsible for the technical setup and proper functioning of various applications. One of these applications is the Clean Networks Platform tool
  • You are in close contact with the team of NBIP and external vendors to properly perform your function.
  • You maintain, manage and oversee the operation of applications, including version control.
  • You design and set up links between different applications.
  • You communicate with users about functionality and performance.
  • You ensure that data collections are set up, maintained and properly managed.
  • You give advice on necessary or desired changes in applications.
  • You take care of application documentation.

You are independent and organize your own work, but you are also a team player, proactive and eager to learn. You enjoy analyzing and solving problems; this comes naturally to you. You are communicative and committed. You are also motivated to further develop NBIP together with your colleagues.

What do you bring?

  • A completed Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the field of IT or a course of study related to the work required.
  • You have excellent knowledge of, and demonstrable experience with, Linux operating systems.
  • You have knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
  • You have knowledge of container techniques (Docker, Nomad) and Container Orchestration.
  • You have knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB), configuration management tooling (Saltstack, Ansible), relevant scripting languages (Bash, Python) and system monitoring.
  • You have knowledge of web technologies.
  • You have experience with Laravel PHP Framework.
  • You have affinity and experience with open source.
  • You have experience with revision management software (git).
  • It is a plus (but not required) if you have experience with virtualized environments and Infrastructure as Code for managing these environments.
  • You are familiar with Agile working.
