DDoS attack figures from the third quarter of 2020

NBIP has published a new infographic on the third quarter of 2020. In this period the NaWas identified 307 attacks. An average of four attacks per day. The strongest attack had a strength of 200 Gbps. In total, NaWas registered 38 attacks that lasted longer than four hours. In comparison: in the first quarter we saw 11 attacks that lasted longer than four hours. The most common attacks were DNS Amplification and LDAP Amplification. They were extremely powerful and were mainly aimed at ISPs and large companies in Europe.
